âI have said over and over again that Kufuor is responsible for setting in motion the moral and economic crisis that we are experiencing today, and I will say it again today. âWhen Kufuorâs government removed four noughts from the cedi, he overnight abolished the peopleâs economy. He abolished the peopleâs economy because he abolished the means to exchange goods below the value of 1,000 old cedisâ the countryâs longest-serving president said.
But speaking on Adom FMâs âBurning Issuesâ programme Wednesday, Kwaku Agyemang Manu suggested that Rawlings and Kufour might have clashed over a girl in the past.
Agyemang Manu who is also the Member of Parliament for Dormaa further wondered why Kufuor has been silent over these attacks from Rawlings.

He argued that the massive corruption under the Rawlingsâ regime took Ghana to the infamous Highly Indebted Poor Country (HIPC) initiative, asking that: âIf Kufuor was corrupt, how could he have implemented School Feeding Program, Metro Mass Transit (MMT) among other projects during his regime?â
