They are all residents of Lapaz and its environs within the Okaikoi North Sub – metro of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA).

Their action was contrary to section 56(a) and (b) of Act 851, Public Health Act (2012).

The Magistrate, Mrs Victoria Ghansah advised the accused to go and be ambassadors of a clean environment.

She urged AMA to ensure that residents who have not yet registered under the polluter-pay policy are able to do so, adding that persons who will flout sanitation laws would not be spared.
