25-year-old arrested for stabbing prostitute

Police in Prestea have arrested a 25-year-old trader for stabbing and robbing a prostitute.

The incident happened at Prestea in the Prestea Huni Valley District of the Western Region, the Finder newspaper reports.

According to the victim, she heard a knock on her door and rushed to open because she thought the person was a customer.

But, the suspect, Abdul Mugeez immediately forced his way into the room and threatened the woman to give him all the money and phone she had in her possession or he will kill her.

The woman indicated that she could only give Mugeez her money and not her phone because she uses her phone to contact her customers.

But Mugeez allegedly stabbed her as a result.

Confirming the incident, the Prestea Hunni Valley police commander Supt. Atsu Djineku, said that the police, when alerted, managed to get to Abdul ‘s hide out and quickly arrested him.

The Commander said that the suspect will be put before the court to answer questions as to why he forcefully entered the lady’s room.
