At least five people were injured Monday in a gas explosion that caused a building to collapse in Belgiums port city of Antwerp, Belgian media reported.

There still could be casualties beneath the rubble besides the five injuries already known, police told VRT television.

Belgium's French-language broadcaster RTBF said a total of three buildings were affected by what it said was a gas explosion and that firefighters were on the scene.
