President of Ghana Amateur Boxing Federation is dead

The Ghana Amateur Boxing Federation has lost its president, Gideon Quartey.

Gideon Quartey has been the president of GABF since 2015, after beating Eugene Nyarko Appiah to be elected to the role.

He was also a former Vice President of the Greater Accra Boxing Association before becoming president of GABF.

The GABF Boss is reported to have died in the early hours of Wednesday, March 15 after battling with a short illness.
