Cristiano Ronaldo has divided opinion among the football world after his goal celebration in Real Madrid’s 3-1 win over rivals Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup.

The reigning world best player came on as a second-half substitute, and scored his side’s second goal, before being sent off for what the referee perceived to be a dive.

Zinedine Zidanes side went into the lead early in the second half after a Gerard Pique own goal, with Lionel Messi leveling from the penalty spot with 15 minutes to go.
