The deputy skipper of the Black Stars did not only help his side gain their first Premier League victory of the season on Monday night, but he also gave his younger brother a special birthday pack.
Andre came off the bench to help West Ham United claim their first win of the season- He assisted Pedro Obiang’s opener in the 72 minute, before he latched on a loose ball to seal the victory for the Hammers.
He has presented the goal he scored as a birthday pack to his younger brother, Jordan Ayew, who plays for Swansea City.
“Such an important win . Dedicate this goal to my lil bro @jordanayew9 for your birthday.. happy birthday brother. ️love u”, Andre Ayew tweeted after the game yesterday.
The Ayew brothers were teammates at Olympique Marseille in the French Ligue 1, but at the moment they are plying their trade at different clubs, yet they get the chance to be in the same team at the national team level
