The Englishman gave his word on the game and capped it off with chances of his team challenging for the 2016/2017 league title.

Pollack initially gave his general assessment of the game.

“We know they are a good side and we are also a good side as well that was indeed a great advertisement for Ghana Football.”

“We did have a conversation in the second half and what is said is what transpired. I think we just made two mistakes which resulted in two goals. “We pressed to get a goal and they got us in the counter for the 2nd goal”. In the end we did play some good football and congratulations to them.”

Coach Pollack spoke on the game plan and how the players followed them.

“Well, every player has their role and the players know their roles and followed accordingly. As a coach you would expect them to do better and the players themselves wanted to do better.”

“However, they stuck to the game plan and it worked in the first half. They didn’t create too much in the first half. We had a few likewise they also had a few.”

“In the second half, I encourage them to get a couple chances when we were losing 2-0 because if we lose by 3 or 4 it won’t matter.” I think the players did okay.”

The final question he answered was if the hopes of lifting the title was over

“It will be over if it is mathematically impossible,” the Coach confidently answered.

Kotoko lie 4th on the log behind WAFA, Aduana Stars and Accra Hearts of Oak. The defeat took WAFA to top with 46 points and 10 points clear of Kotoko.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko will look to get much out of the possible 21 at stake in the 7 matches ahead of them to stand a chance of lifting the ultimate.

This might be indeed tough for them as it is uncertain where and how the three teams ahead of them will finish
