Godwin Ablodey who played with both Yartey and Stephen Oduro. arguably the most talented midfielder to grace the Ghana Premier League has stated that the former Okwawu United attacking midfielder was a better player than the ex-RTU midfielder.

“Emmanuel Yartey was a complete player- he could play on both the right and the left wings. He could play as a second striker and he was good with his feet and head as well,” he said this in an exclusive interview with Pulse Sports.

“His dribbles and passing accuracy were amazing. We all played football, but he was exceptional. Aside his off  the field behaviour which was questionable, you can't question his abilities as a footballer.

“I can’t find any of the current players playing like him. He was even better than Stephen Oduro during their heydays.”

Yartey had stints with clubs such as Okwawu united, Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, etc.
