Five things you need to know about the late ex-Black Queens striker

Gloria Oforiwaa, one of the finest strikers to play for the Black Queens which is the senior female national football team of Ghana passed away on Saturday

Gloria Oforiwaa served in the Ghana Police service, hence  he played for the Police Ladies who compete  in the National Women's League.

She represented Ghana in two FIFA Women's World Cup- 2003 and 2007.

Gloria Oforiwaa featured in the African Women's Championship, helping Ghana to win two silver and one bronze.

The former Black Queens striker is remembered for getting her name on the score sheet when Ghana thrashed Ethiopia 6-3 in the third place play-off in the 2000 African Women'sChampionship.

She passed away at age 36, after a short illness.
