The upcoming season has been launched this afternoon at the GFA Secretariat

All the 16 clubs that will be participating in the upcoming league were duly represented at the ceremony. The clubs displayed both their home and away jerseys for the season.

The PLB Chairman Ashford Tettey Oku apologized for the delay in the start of the league.

The most refreshing news for players that will be taking part in the league is that the General Secretary of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana, Tony Baffoe announced that an insurance package for the local players has been put in place.

The GFA per what happened will permit Techiman City, who were demoted to division 2 by the Ethics Committee to compete in the league and wait for all judicial processes within the confines of the GFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sports to be exhausted before it takes the final decision to apply the ruling or otherwise.
