Freddie Blay named GNPC Board Chairman

The acting Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddie Blay, has been appointed to serve as Chairman of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) by President Nana Akufo-Addo.

Freddie Blay is a former Member of Parliament for Ellembele for years, and served as the First Deputy Speaker in the Fourth Parliament of Ghana.

In a letter dated 3 May which was received by GNPC on Thursday, 11 May, the Chief of Staff named six other individuals as board members:The individuals who form the new board are:1. Mr Freddie Blay – Chairman2. Dr KK Sarpong – Managing Director3. Mr Kwabena Kwakye – Member4. Prof J.S. Nabila – Member5. Mr Yaw Kyei – Member6. Nana Adjoa Hackman – Member7. Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi II – Member
