Sarkodie only socialises, acts friendly when Rapperholic is near - Fan blasts rapper

He hardly steps in the club or hangs out with industry players. He is very choosy about the people he hangs out with.

But over the weekend, he was spotted at Nana Boroo’s house for the singer’s private Christmas house party with media personalities, friends and industry peers.

Okyeame Kwame, Samini, Kwaisey Pee and producer Brainy Beatz were there but what drew people’s attention was Sarkodie’s presence.

He was captured cracking jokes and laughing out loud with every folk around.

The video received a lot of comments on Instagram and among them is user ‘heist_4’, who blasted the rapper for playing smart on people.

According to the user, Sarkodie only shows up in town and familiarises with people only when his annual ‘Rapperholic’ concert is closer.

“You only see Sarkodie socializing and acting friendly when rapperholic is near,” he wrote.

This is not the first time the rapper has been criticised about his relations with industry people.

In 2015, Kwasi Aboagye stopped the SarkCess Music label owner from appearing on his show, 'Entertainment Review', to promote his “Mary” album launch.

According to Kwasi Aboagye, he sees no reason to give him airtime to promote his event when he (Sarkodie) does not open his gates when they call him for a radio interview.

This year’s event which features top stars is scheduled for December 25 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
