According to them, they had been in the queue since 5:30 a.m. but they are yet to cast their vote.

The delegates are electing a parliamentary candidate to represent them in the November polls.

The election was delayed for about nine months due to disagreements over the constituency’s voters’ register.

In all, two persons are contesting the seat – the incumbent MP, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful and Roni Nicole.

A third candidate, Theophilus Tetteh bowed out of the race following his failure to appear before the vetting committee.

Currently, there is heavy security presence in area.

The media is however, being prevented from conducting interviews, as well as taking photographs of the voting exercise.
