Sowah confirmed as Accra Mayor

Members of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) have endorsed Mohammed Adjei Sowah as the new Metropolitan Chief Executive of the Assembly.

Mr Sowah replaces Alfred Oko Vanderpuije, now Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South, as AMA boss.Mr. Adjei Sowah is a former Greater Accra Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Only Metropolitan areas have had their Chief Executives announced. Government has indicated that the announcement of other assemblies will likely happen by the end of March 2017.
