Fake notes of GHc1,180 was discovered on them upon a body search by the police.
Two women have been arrested in the Ashanti region for allegedly dealing in fake currencies.
Police sources say the suspects Naomi Obeng, 25, and Akosua Nyarko both residents of Agogo were arrested at Akomadan in the Offinso North district on Thursday upon a tip off.
The suspects have mentioned one Addai as their main supplier, Deputy Ashanti regional Police Commander, ACP Ampofo Duku says.
He added that investigations have begun into the matter.
