The tall lanky guardsman and Wa All Stars forward Emmanuel Ocran were invited to train with the Black Stars with close monitored by Coach Avram Grant. The three-time world cup campaigners will open their 2018 World Qualifier against Uganda this Friday in Tamale.

Musah, who prior to the just ended season was in the treatment room recovered in time at the start of the second round and he played an instrumental role in the heart of Hearts of Oak’s defence – that made him win four man of the man awards in 14 games.

"I’m very happy for the call up, it is a dream of every player to play for his national team and I’m very happy for that,” Musah told Pulse.com.gh.

"I didn’t start the season with Hearts of Oak because I was nursing an injury, I joined the team in the second round and I gave out my best and my hard work has paid off and I’m grateful to the technical handlers of the Black Stars.”

The 23 year-old hard tackler has noted that he will not be complacent over his maiden call up.

"I’m not going to be swollen headed it is a stepping stone for great things to happen. I’m going to grab the opportunity that has been given to me and I promise not to let my supporters down,” he added.

Musah joined Hearts of Oak two seasons ago from second-tier side Tudu Mighty Jet.
