Akufo-Addo to inaugurate Ghana at 60 committee

The committee that would be inaugurated today will have its work cut out for it and they will need to organise things very quickly as it has just about six weeks to pull the entire thing off and with a tight budget as the country is currently undergoing economic challenges.

President Nana Akufo-Addo is to inaugurate a committee to oversee the organisation of the Ghana at 60 celebrations today, January 26, 2017.

March 6, 2017 will be exactly 60 years since Ghana declared political independence from Great Britain.

The committee would be responsible for ensuring that the activities leading up to the March 6 celebrations and the rest of activities throughout the year to mark the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
