Assifuah's ankle appeared to buckle as Black Stars players and coach Avram Grant feared the worst.

He was replaced by Majeed Waris, who started the first leg in Accra last Thursday. Assifuah joins list of increasing injured players in Black Stars cam; with Christian Atsu and Mubarak Wakaso missing the game through injury.

Assifuah who has been consistent in form and gets in the goals occasionally at club level earned another call from Avram Grant to the Black Stars team for the AFCON qualifiers.

He sat out of the first game against Mozambique at the Accra Sports Stadium after the injured Asamoah Gyan was replaced by FC Lorient striker Abdul Majeed Waris.
