NPP busing supporters up north to vote

The man organising the bus movement, according to Joy News, says the party is ready to transport anyone from the three Northern Regions who is willing to go and vote.

The New Patriotic Party has organised close to 40 buses to transport northerners who are mostly head porters and traders to the north to partake in this years election.

According to some of the people being transported, they believe the NPP can improve their economic well-being.

They are mostly from Mamprusi land who believe they must go and vote for Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, who is one their won.

Five thousand people are expected to be transported to the north.

Bright Owusu, the NPP's transport coordinator confirmed it in a Joy news interview.

He explained that it is something the party engages in every election year.

According to him, the NDC is also busing their supporters to go and vote.

He further added most of the northerners in Accra are from the NPP strongholds.
