I'm happy Nana Akufo-Addo is President – Dr Kwabena Adjei

The former National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), Dr. Kwabena Adjei says

"I’m happy because he comes with a wealth of experience that will help and then a certain respectability from the elder people," he said in an interview on Accra-based Starr FM.

According to him, though the ground was not so fertile for the NDC, former President Mahama's 'handlers misled him'.  did his best but I think he should have listened more to the cry of the people of Ghana

"John Mahama did his best but I think he should have listened more to the cry of the people of Ghana", he added.

"Now it is like, he is too old, he is 74, so we the young ones must take over. You [Bola Ray] the young one sitting here if I ask you the history of Ghana, you will not be able to tell me," Dr Kwabena Adjei said.

He pointed out that the experience of Nana Addo in politics, it was quite good that he won and not as bad as some are making it look like.
