Minority confused over outcome of impeachment - Gov't

The Speaker of Parliament Edward Doe Adjaho on Thursday dismissed the motion filed by the minority over President Mahama's Ford Gift Saga.

The minority in Parliament is dazed with the outcome of the motion filed to impeach President Mahama, a deputy Communications Minister, Felix Kwakye Ofosu.

Doe Adjaho who single-handedly shot down the motion asked the Clerk of Parliament to return the motion to the Member of Parliament who filed it.
Doe Adjaho cited constitutional provisions and earlier Supreme Court rulings to support his stance.

Edward Doe Adjaho therefore, said "as a Speaker i am firmly convinced CHRAJ is the only mandated body to probe this case."
Commenting on the issue on his Facebook timeline, Kwakye Ofosu wrote:
“NPP MPs dazed as frivolous motion is thrown into the dustbin. What a ridiculous waste of time and hundreds of thousands of Ghana cedis!.”
