The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr Gilbert Buckle, has ended his service to the hospital.

His term of office ended today, February 1, 2017, sources at the hospital have told Pulse.com.gh.

He was recently accused of taking home 21,000 cedis in Christmas bonuses at the end of 2016. He has however denied the claims.

Dr Gilbert Buckle has more than 17 years of experience working in the public and private health sectors in Ghana, with 12 years in senior management and leadership roles.
He has served for several years in Koforidua, in the Eastern Region, where he rose to become Medical Director of the St. Joseph's Hospital and also Municipal Director of Health Services.
With his departure, Dr Samuel Asiamah is set to act as CEO beginning 2nd February 2017.
