‘Sleeping thief’ freed

The 27-year-old suspected thief who fell asleep after an alleged operation in a Pastor’s house has been freed.

A District Court in Asamankese in the Eastern Region presided over by his honour Ayittey Tetteh did not find him guilty of the charges levelled against him.
According to Accra-based Kasapa FM, Asamankese District Police Commander, Superintendent Appiah Anane said that Richard Yeboah (the suspect) told the court he was tired and only decided to pass the night in the uncompleted house.
The judge, therefore, asked him to go and sin no more.

Pastor Asare Nyarko narrated earlier that the incident happened on Sunday morning when he and his family left for church.
Pastor Nyarko said he noticed someone had entered his house forcefully when he returned from church and immediately notified the police.
