The contractors on Tuesday picketed at the GETFUND head office and later the Ministry of Finance to demand monies owed them by the government.

Contractors working on Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFUND) projects across the country have threatened to lay down their tools on Friday, 6 January if the government fails to pay monies owed them.

According to them, the government owes them six months’ arrears to the tune of GHS300 million.

The contractors have  vowed to lock up schools and buildings they pre-financed if their monies are not paid.
