Daniel Asiedu, the young man accused of the murder of the former Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa North, Mr J.B. Danquah-Adu, has requested an Accra Magistrate court to permit his family to bring him food.

Daniel Asiedu made this known after the magistrate Stephen Owusu had asked him if he had any problem he would want the court to address at the hearing of the case on Tuesday, January 17, 2017.

The case has since been adjourned to January 31 awaiting the Attorney-General’s advice.

Daniel Asiedu was arrested few days after the murder of JB Danquah who was the member of parliament for the Abuakwa North constituency in his residence at Shiashie in Accra.

He was charged with murder when arraigned after his arrest and allegedly confessed to stabbing the late MP in his residence which led to his death.

Despite his confessions, another suspect was arrested later as an accomplice.

But the teenager said he entered the MP’s house to steal but not to kill.

According to him, he had to stab the MP who held him tight during a struggle.
