Thomas Teye Partey missed a last minute penalty but his Atletico Madrid side still managed to secure three points as they defeated Osasuna 3-0 on Saturday evening.

Atletico broke the deadlock in the 30th minute as Yannick Carrasco picked up the ball from 25-yards out and drilled the ball into the bottom corner.

Atletico doubled their lead shortly after the break as Carrasco got his second goal of the game heading home from six-yards out.

The hosts got their third goal after the hour-mark, as Felipe Luis got his name on the score-sheet with a clinical effort from 12-yards out.

Atletico were awarded a penalty in the 880th minute. Carrasco stepped up and looked to complete his hat-trick, but his effort was saved by Salvatore Sirigu.

Simeone's charges were awarded another penalty two minutes later. Ghanaian midfielder, Thomas Partey, stepped up but also saw his kick saved by Sirigu.
