GES tasks school heads to allow eligible students to register

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has urged heads of second-cycle institutions to allow eligible students to register in the ongoing limited voter registration exercise by the Electoral Commission.

A statement signed by the Head of Public Relations Unit, Reverend Jonathan Bettey said heads of schools "should take notes on all students, especially boarders, as they leave the school premises to participate in the ongoing limited voter registration by Electoral Commission."
"Management entreats students, teachers and members of the public to comport themselves well during this important national exercise," the statement said.
The Limited Voters Registration exercise which began on Thursday, April 28 is aimed at capturing the details of Ghanaians who have turned 18 since the last election in 2012.
