While many adults can barely boast of reading at least one book the whole of 2016, this four year old has read over 1,000 in just a year.

Daliyah Marie Arana was perhaps destined to be a prolific reader as even before her birth, her mother was already reading to her and her older siblings.

At just two years old, she read her first book all on her own, says her mother Haleema Arana to the Washington Post.

On Wednesday January 11, Daliyah was invited by to the Library of Congress (the world’s largest library) by its librarian Carla Hayden to spend the day as ‘Librarian For The Day’. Hayden tweeted photos of herself showing the young girl around Congress’ library.

According to Haleema, her daughter plans to help her teacher when she starts kindergarten in  September to teach her colleagues how to read.

Carla Hayden is the first African-American and first woman to become the Librarian of the Library of Congress in its 216 year history.
