Four people died on the spot when a taxi in which they were in crashed into a truck at the Ablekuma-Awoshie road in Accra.

The cause of the accident is not entirely known, but eyewitnesses the brake of the truck failed as it moved from Ablekuma heading to Awoshie.
The accident totally mangled the taxi, leaving residents helpless about the situation.
A heavy duty vehicle of a Chinese contractor was reported to have aided in lifting the taxi off the road.

Police and fire service officials were at the scene to ensure order.
