Shocker: BYC of Liberia eliminate Kotoko from Champions League

Exactly 2 years today, the Liberian club formed in the 1990’s forced a bitter pills down the throat of the 2 times champions of Africa by crushing them out of the CAF Champions League

On 15th February, 2014, the Ghana champions at the time Asante Kotoko were crushed out of the CAF Champions League after a 1-0 away defeat to Barrack Young Controllers (BYC).

The Porcupine Warriors went into the second leg with a step closer to the next round due to their 2-1 first leg advantage. However, the Ghanaians were left in total awe in Monrovia when their opponents sneaked through courtesy the away goal rule.

The Liberian champions waited until the 85th minute to stab the Ghanaians who were left with little time to recover.
