The student was on the way to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the region’s inter-schools sports competition when the accident occurred.

Reports say the student, who is yet to be identified, was leaning out of the window of the Urvan Bus during the journey but fell off when the driver attempted to overtake a vehicle.

The deceased, in the process, fell off from the window and hit the other vehicle. He was subsequently run over by other vehicles and died on the spot.

Police have since taken his remains.
