The Trade and Industry Minister-designate Alan Kyeremanten has indicated that the first sign of the New Patriotic Party’s one district, one factory policy could be up within six months.
“We could potentially have a number of district enterprises ready within 6 months with the right factors in place,” he said.

According to him, the One district, One factory policy will complement efforts at growing the country's industrial sector.
He said the policy will be a strategic partnership with the private sector with a close collaboration with the District Assemblies.
On job creation, Mr Kyeremateng indicated that the policy will provide massive employment to the young people in the country.
He believed that with the 216 districts in the country, at least a total of 216 factories are expected to be established across the country.
He said each factory will depend on the raw materials available in the district.
He also explained that the policy will add value to the various raw materials available at the various districts in the country.
