Watch Cameroon players participate in hilarious #BidoungChallenge upon meeting President
Some members of the Cameroon team that won the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon participated in the viral #BidoungChallenge when the group met the countrys President on Thursday.
President Paul Biya and his wife Chantal hosted the team to a state reception at the Unity Palace to congratulate them on winning the country's fifth AFCON title.

The #BidoungChallenge is a viral online trend that originated from Cameroon Sports Minister Pierre Ismael Bidoung Mpkatt. The politician kept himself at a distance and bowed when giving Biya a handshake during an encounter.

Social media users shared photos of them in exaggerated bows and in long distances from their subjects when giving handshakes.

At least three of Cameroon's 23 players replicated the hilarious bow and distant handshake, causing the room full of dignitaries to erupt in laughter - including the President and his wife.
Cameroon will host the next edition of the AFCON in 2019.
