Man is battered with hoe handle for sleeping with another man's wife

It was revealed that after Norman Dambanjera caught Godfrey Ziwa engaging in sexual intercourse with his wife, he then allegedly attacked him with the sharp edge of a hoe on his forehead.

The angry husband has now been arraigned before a court for assaulting his wife’s boyfriend after he caught the lovebirds in the act.

According to Zimbabwean paper, Monica Post, Norman Dambanjera of Manica Bridge last week appeared before senior Mutare magistrate, Mrs. Sekai Chiundura facing assault charges.

The state was represented in the case by Mr. Fletcher Karombe.

“On March 25 at around 11pm at Mukahanana Village, Ziwa was caught by Dambanjera sleeping with his wife in their matrimonial bedroom.

“Ziwa tried to run away, but Dambanjera caught up with him. He assaulted him,” said Mr. Karombe

Dambanjera however differed on the matter, telling the court the court that he had indeed assaulted the man, but it had been with the handle of a hoe, and not the sharp part.

“I never axed him as he alleges, but I used a hoe handle to assault him,” said Dambanjera.
