Man kills brother for stealing his fowl

A forty-eight-year-old farmer is in the grips of the Wenchi police in the Brong Ahafo Region for allegedly murdering his brother who he accused of stealing his cockerel.

The incident hurled residents into s state of shock as they could not believe why a man could kill his own relative over a fowl.

Confirming the incident to Accra-based Kasapa FM, the Wenchi divisional police crime officer DSP Vincent Addotey stated that the suspect admitted to slashing his brother’s throat when a confrontation ensued over the whereabouts of the cockerel.

He added that the suspect is yet to be arraigned before court.
