The plaintiff who happens to be a residence of Lagos said he took his clothes to Udor’s Shop on 4th April to be made and delivered on a specific date. But Udor was unable to deliver on the date and secondly, he burnt the cloth too.

Which Ugo Friday found out only when he was ironing the clothes the next day. This made him demand a refund from Udor the tailor who refused to pay (customary with most tailors). This angered Ugo who reported to the police and subsequently conveyed the matter to court.

According to the court that the offence violates the provision of Section 339 of the Lagos State Criminal Code Laws, 2015. The magistrate, Mrs Oluwakemi Williams-Isichie, granted Udor bail of N20,000 with two responsible securities, who must show evidence of tax payment.
