Faizan Muritala, a 16 year old, died on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, following the collapse of the building she was in.

The building located at Kuata by Amara Olu Street, around Mechanic Village in Agidingbi, Ikeja, collapsed as a result of a mudslide, according to The Nation.

Prior to the collapse of the building which claimed the life of the teenage bride, another one at 3, Adepitan Street, off Ramat Crescent, Ojudu, had also collapsed.

Reports say the Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Babatunde Adejare, has visited the area, and ordered that some structures should be demolished.

Also, a downpour which lasted for several hours, wreaked havoc and drowned a 10-year-old boy along Stadium Road in Oron, Akwa Ibom state.
