Brenda Rigdon, of Florida, US, was attacked in front of her grandchildren after she took the icy soaking last year.
She has only released the video now as a warning to other dog owners.
The pit bull is seen launching at Brenda’s face and dragging her to the ground.
She’s mauled for a short while before the dog is restrained.

The victim’s son said: ‘She lived to tell the tale of it and didn’t want this released until she was ready.
