The Black Stars have failed to win any of their last five games in all competition. But more worrying is the fact that the team has scored just twice during that period.

And after seeing his side display another wasteful performance in the 2-0 win Uzbekistan champions Bunyodkor, Grant wants to see an improvement with his forward line.

The former Chelsea and Portsmouth boss was, however, encourage by his side’s ability to create chances.

"We created a lot of chances in the friendly encounter. I think this [not scoring a lot of goals] is one of the problems of the team. All the last games we create a lot of decent chances but our percentage of making good use of them isn't so good," he is quoted as saying by GhanaSoccernet.com.

"This week we have worked a lot in front of the situation, finishing, individual training and team training.

''I'm happy that we scored two in the friendly and also continued to create chances because you cannot score if you don't create chances."

The Black Stars are paired with Uganda, Egypt and Mali in group D and will play their first match against the Cranes on January 17.
