These Stats justify why the GFA parted ways with Kwesi Appiah

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) decided not to renew the contract of James Kwesi Appiah after it expired in December 2019.

The announcement was made on Tuesday 2nd January 2020.

Many Ghanaians were not surprised because of the poor display by the Black Stars in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) under Kwesi Appiah’s watch.

Aside, the poor performance by the Black Stars, the general output by the team under the former Asare Kotoko skipper wasn’t the best as he couldn’t achieve a winning percentage of 50, which is the average pass mark, every Ghanaian expected of his coach.

His winning percentage dwindled when you compare his performance in his first term with the senior national football team to his second spell with the four-times champions of Africa.
