This development has made CAF call a crisis meeting with the country’s sports minister, Isaac Asiamah.

“I have a meeting with Ghana’s Minister for Youth and Sports next week in Madagascar,” Ahmad said.

“He is coming to see me and we will discuss this issue and also the Ghana Football Association (GFA).”

CAF has reportedly instructed South Africa, Nigeria and Cameroon to be on the alert should Ghana be eventually stripped of the right.

Although Ghana is preparing to the host the next edition of the championship in November 2018 there is little to show on the ground that the country is ready.

Ghana’s football team, the Black Queens, have been impressive in recent African Women’s Championships placing third in the last edition in Cameroon.
