Green has been held out of preseason action since October 14 but re-aggravated the injury during Tuesday's scrimmage.

"It obviously sucks not to be able to have opening night with these guys, but it's good to get little injuries out of the way," Green said, via San Antonio Express-News.

"I'm going to take it day by day, week by week and hopefully come back early... You've got to stay positive."

Green played 26.1 minutes per game last season, averaging 7.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists.

Kyle Anderson will likely see starter minutes in Green's absence with Manu Ginobili chipping in at age 39.
