Software company reveal Windows 10 for phones hardware specs

Microsoft has now revealed the minimum hardware specifications for Windows 10 for Phones and the specs are similar to Windows Phone 8.1.

The minimum RAM for Windows 10 for Phones is 512MB and you also need to have a minimum of 4GB of included storage.

The company has changed one thing though, they now require devices with different resolution displays to have minimum amounts of RAM.

A Full HD smartphone must come with 2GB of RAM and a Quad HD display must have at least 3GB of RAM.

The maximum display size on handsets has now been increased to 7.99 inches.

Microsoft will be releasing Windows 10 for Phones this summer, it will be provided as a free upgrade to Windows Phone 8.1 users.
