Hearts of Oak refute claims of being denied access to Accra Sports stadium

Ghana Premier League (GPL) side, Hearts of Oak have clarified that their players visited the Accra Sports stadium to have a photoshoot, contrary to reports circulating in the media.

Reports from some quarters earlier suggested that the Rainbow Club had been denied access to the Accra sports stadium, leaving the players and coaches stranded.

Some reports went further to suggest that the doors of the stadium were locked by the National Sports Authority (NSA) to keep the club away from training in Tuesday morning.

However, a statement on the club’s official Twitter account has clarified that the players went to the stadium to have a photoshoot.

The club stated that a picture circulating with some Hearts players sitting outside the stadium was misinterpreted.

The statement said: “We had our photoshoot session with @startimesghana today. Kindly neglect false stories we have been denied access to train at the stadium.”
