 UG, KNUST get new Vice Chancellors

The new vice chancellor promised to focus on the development of the research training programmes and engage the relevant stakeholders in the public and private sectors of the university.
 
 

Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu has been inducted into office as the new Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana. Professor Owusu becomes the 12th VC of the university and replaces Professor Ernest Aryeetey.

This according to him will modify teaching and research in the University to feed industries towards the development of Ghana.

Meanwhile, Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso has also been inducted into office as the new Vice Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Professor Obiri-Danso becomes the 10th Vice-Chancellor of the university.

He also outlined his vision and priorities in advancing the frontiers of KNUST at a ceremony held in Kumasi in his honour.

Both new Vice Chancellors have revealed they will amend some of the cut-off points in the 2016/2017 ongoing admission to favour girls and encourage them to study science-related courses.
