Talking from his own experience, the former English Premier League player took to his Intagram Page to rant saying:
âAlthough we are not in Ghana, we are Ghanaians and sometimes we hear what is going on. Now the person is gone. Go and talk about her state of dressing.
âNow that the person is gone they are playing her song everywhere.
âAre we trying to say we celebrate the dead more than the living?
âWe have to change. We have to change our mentality. We were all born in Africa. We all know the African culture but things are getting worse.
âWe donât know people and we just judge them. I donât know what people see. Sometimes they see the person and they just judge them.â
Gyan continued to make his point drawing experiences from how he sometimes meet people who immediately judge him based on his facial expression.
Africaâs leading top scoreer at a World Cup tournament admonished Ghanaians and Africans to change such attitudes and not just judge people anyhow.
