Arsenal pay tribute to late 90-year-old supporter

Arsenal football club are currently mourning of life-long Ernie Crouch who died on Saturday, December 5 on his way to their home game against Sunderland.

The 90-year-old supporter died after gust of wind blew him into path of bus and in Finchley.

He has watched all Arsenal home games since 1934.

Arsenal took to their Twitter account to pay tribute to Crouch writing: "Everyone at Arsenal Football Club is saddened to learn of the passing of lifelong fan Ernie Crouch. May he rest in peace."

Crouch has been a supporter of Arsenal since attanding his first game at Highbury in 1934 and regularly attended the club's fixtures and earned hero status at the Emirates, where he remained a season ticket holder.

Crouch also won EurocarsFanof the Season award last term.

Former Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski also paid tribute to late Crouch writing: "Sad to hear about the passing of a true fan this weekend. 90 years an Arsenal fan. Ernie Crouch, A loyal Gunner. RIP."
