Former Chelsea doctor Eva Carneiro has gotten the backing of FIFA’s medical committee in her fight against the club and Jose Mourinho.
Carneiro and Mourinho had the now famous row duringChelsea Saturday, August 8 2-2 home draw with Swansea.
Mourinho fumed at the medical team for going on to the pitch to attend to Hazard without knowing the extent of his injury.
She was demoted from her role in the club after the incident before she subsequently quit.
The doctor filed a law suit against the club and Mourinho on the basis that she was treated unfairly.
FIFA medical chief Michel D'Hooghe has revealed that he supports Carneiro in the case.
“Of course I support Eva Carneiro. She did her job, she did her duty. When somebody is medically in trouble she has to intervene. She has my support and that of the whole medical committee,” D’Hhooghe said.
“I have had email contact with her and she is very happy with the global support of the medical world in football.”
He also promised to help Carneiro in finding a job.
“I can imagine in the short term she might have some problems with that but with her personality and her competence she must certainly have a great future and if I can help her I will.”
