Arsenal goalkeeper gets special gift from wife
Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech received a very special gift from his wife after equaling David James'record of the most Premier League clean sheets.
The 33-year-old who joined Arsenal last summer has kept his 169th Premier League clean sheets in the Gunners’ 2-0 win at .
His wife baked a biscuit of Cech in an Arsenal shirt with 169 attached to it.
“Found this in the morning... My wife's baking,” Cech wrote on Instagram alongside the picture of the biscuit.
The Gunners kept their seventh Premier League clean sheet of the season against Aston Villa on Sunday as Arsene Wenger's side climbed to the top of the table.
Arsenal striker Theo Walcott has praised Cech for being a leader on and off the pitch.
“From when we signed him, we all knew how good he was [after] what he achieved at Chelsea,” Walcott told Arsenal Player.
“On a personal level, for him it's great.
“He's changed us completely in that back four. He's a talker, he believes in us all.
“That's why he wanted to join us and having that presence behind you is always nice to have. He's very commanding, he's a leader in the dressing room as well, he always likes to talk.”
